Common questions

Does one purchase cover the Mac and the iPad?

Yes. Buy SimpleSpread once on the App Store and it’s yours on both, with the same Apple Account.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles App Store payments, so refunds go through Apple: visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account you bought it with.

How do I make SimpleSpread open my Excel files on the Mac?

Select an .xlsx file in the Finder and choose File › Get Info. Under “Open with”, choose SimpleSpread, then click Change All.

What can’t SimpleSpread do yet?

It doesn’t run macros, and it can’t write chart sheets or slicers back into a file. When a file has them, SimpleSpread asks before saving and offers to save a copy, so the original stays untouched.

Is the App Store version different from the GitHub one?

It’s the same app. The App Store version updates through the App Store and never connects to the internet. The GitHub version checks GitHub for updates.
